Angela has 14 years of Local Government experience.  in previous years she has served on the Weymouth Primary School and James Cook High School Boards of Trustees as well as The Graeme Dingle Foundation Board.

“I am pragmatic in my approach to governance, I am also forensic when required, which may get more than a little frustrating for some of my colleagues. I see a place for disruption but not for division although I accept it is unavoidable in a political environment such as this one. I take advice from the officers of the Council and I also seek independent advice when I need it. I will aim for unity and consensus but not at the cost of the people who elected me or the values I hold fast to.”

Her major commitment is her elected role as Auckland Councillor for the Manurewa- Papakura Ward. She currently holds the following Council portfolios:

Lead Councillor for Eke Panuku Relationship

Mayor/Chairs/Deputy Chairs weekly meeting

Committees of the Whole

Governing Body

Deputy Chair Planning, Environment and Parks Committee

Transport and Infrastructure Committee

Audit and Risk Committee

Revenue, Expenditure and Value Committee
